Required Unit Equipment

In order to be a full member of the 20th Guards and be entitled to wear the guards badge, a recruit must possess all of the following equipment.  For vendors who carry many of these items please see the links page.

GROUP I (should be obtained within six months of the recruit's first event)

Mosin-Nagant m91/30 with cleaning rod
m43 tunic with private's shoulderboards
m43 or m35 trousers
Boots (low boots with leg-wraps or jackboots)
Pilotka sidecap with star
Belt (brown leather with roller buckle or leather/webbing types)
One 2-pocket Mosin-Nagant ammunition pouch
Russian canteen and cover
Gasmask bag

GROUP II (should be obtained within one year of the recruit's first event)

Russian army greatcoat or padded winter coat and trouser set
Platch palatka shelter half
One 3-pocket grenade pouch
Shovel (e-tool) with carrier
Cookpot or messkit (German messkits are permissible)
Eating utensils (spoon)
Drinking cup (aluminium or solid-colored enamel)
Period rifle cleaning kit
Ushanka with star
Soviet ID booklet
Meshok backpack
